They look to be the real deal for sure. Wonder what happened between Gripedge and Mac? Gripedge and JDTCO had a falling out too.

I try to check other Stanley brands whenever MAC, Proto or FACOM have something I want. If it hits Dewalt I’m overjoyed. $28 for metric. $45 for metric and SAE.

Limited-time deal: DEWALT 3/8 DRIVE, SAE HEX SOCKET SET, 6PC (DWMT17000) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZF91HB2/?tag=atomicindus08-20
Good find! I think they're actually the same set as from the V-series line - but noticeably cheaper (and some added knurling).

That's a great budget alternative.

Has anyone actually tried the Gripedge Torx Bit Sockets? I'm thinking of ordering a set

They are also available under Stanley branding now. Slightly different style again, but the same concept on the bit.

Nice. Haven’t seen those.

I did pick up a couple NIB sets of the V-Series for next to nothing that ended up in an Amazon returns pallet sale.

Those look more like the sorta RBRT but not quite ones they make for the Craftsman V

The dewalt is the same as the v series, different from rbrt and grip edge, but similar function, probably made at the same plant

I have the 132 piece bit set that lists $250

A very nice selection of bits. Every bit is labeled, but the labeling is difficult to read. This includes a nice variety and the only set I know of that includes Phillips, pozi, and JIS bits as one example.

Many of the bits have rbrt. So much so that if I have you a hex and said "what but is this?" You would probably not know it was hex.

This is their hex socket

Zoom in on the bit in the socket.

The primary point of interest for me is this

R.P.T. Technology is designed to prevent rounding of new and compromised fasteners
R.P.T. Technology provides up to 50% more torque on NEW fasteners
R.P.T. Technology provides up to 400% more torque on damaged fasteners

I am working some fragile screws and I thought this might help.

They include a ratcheting driver. I find the handle to be large but it has worked unexpectedly well. I thought I would hate it but I don't hate on it while using it. The handle has a stubby driver built in and knurling on the removable shaft. The knurling is **** compared to the megadores (vessel), but is nice compared to no knurling.

There is a bit holder on the handle as well so I can add bits of interest and take just those.

The t handle driver is nice when you want torque.

The case is very sturdy but difficult to open; it sticks. It seems to be getting easier, but maybe I am just learning to open it.

They say things like

Each bit is precision-crafted from robust S2 steel, enhancing both strength and longevity

But then the back of the box shows a drill with a ❌ (cross) through it as in don't do this. I don't know if this means funny use a powered driver or don't use an impact driver. I don't know which. This is not mentioned anywhere on they're webpage or using words.

Overall I am pleased with the kit.

And yes you can buy it on Amazon.
