My dad has a pretty keen eye for the interesting and unusual. He found these at a flea market. 7-1/4" oal

You can pull the dynamic jaw out further with a number of preset grooves in the bottom of the jaw. There is a small groove in both jaws to grip small round items.

The stamping reads
"GRIP n STIK 707
DOVER, O.
PAT APR
13 24"

and the handles have a fine checkering.

Some google-fu gives me a patent # 1494015.
According to the link, these are mis-stamped (should be May 13, 1924).

My dad has already used them for a couple things. Like a knipex plierswrench and an adjustable had a baby, I bet they are still handy.

Woody, I'm not certain of dob but I found an obituary list and he is listed as December 30, 1957.

Some more googling, looks like he authored a book, The Art of Living, and also had another patent for a disposable paper commode seat cover. Interesting!
