The spelling 'chrom' suggests German made or German target market.

How would you judge the quality level?

I would say the quality is "very good". Almost up to Knipex standards. I too think they are "euro" and possibly German. (Head/jaw very similar when sise by side) I would think they would have stamped them as so.

the brand "Gripfix" was registered by the "Gedore" company in 1959.

Looks like a nice set of alligator's. The design of the the jaws is real similar to the Knipex. The teeth on those looks like it would help save your hands from having to squeeze the handles. I have a pair of 10in Knipex alligators and they are my go to pliers for anything that I would have used regular channel locks on. The fact that tighter you pull it the more it grabs with out having to squeeze is amazing. I never knew a good pair of channel locks before I got them.

Me too. I have the 7 / 10/ 12 alligator Knipex and understand what you mean. I have never seen "teeth" style before and rescued them from a used tool store. Thanks for your reply!
