We want to grind a concrete floor in a house to expose aggregate. The concrete was poured a year ago. After grinding we will apply a water based acrylic sealer. We are not really looking for a shiny finish just smooth. The machines we have available (in Chile) have 3 carbide disks of various grits. The grits range from 24 to 120. What grit would you recommend?

24 to start. Once you hit paydirt, start moving up. An acrylic sealer will not seal 24 grit ground concrete very well. You want to get back up to 200 if possible, at least 120.
