Grizzly Middle Chest

I like the looks of this Grizzly middle chest, because of the handles on the sides. This would allow me to schlep a lot of tools to the worksite, with my partner, as I must do on a regular basis. Anybody have one of these? Opinions? What do you think of the price, $99?

Some of the boxes Grizzly shows in their catalog look very nice, and I suspect they would do just fine for most home wrenchers like me. I would take my chances if I were you. Course yer gonna have to live with that damned green color though!

It's just the idea of a "middle" chest with handles...

If it is used as the designation intends you would have to lift the top box off it before using it.
Of course, no-one on this site would be that daft.

Grizzly has nice boxes. Very strong sheet metal and I think they are made in Canada. That is a great price for a middle box.

What is the problem with lift handles on a mid box? I would think it unusual if they were missing myself.

My Cman intermediate cabinets have no handles and I miss them. I need to be able to haul tools to the site, up stairs & etc with a partner holding one end, so "handled" intermediates look good to me. A full top box is generally too durn heavy when full of tools.

My fantasy is about 3 or 4 of these intermediates, no top or bottom. That would suit me to a T.

There isn't a problem IMO. It's a good idea. Neither the top and middle Snap on boxes in my avatar have handles. The middle one is easy to move (if it's empty) but the top box is heavy as sh/t empty. Even though handles might not look great, they sure would make it easier to move.

Then you have to put it somewhere out of the way while you grab the intermediate.
Now, if the intermediate was big and heavy and the top box was moveable and had handles that would make sense.

I get what you're saying. Come to think of it, none of the intermediate boxes I own or have owned...Mac, Craftsman, Snap On, have had handles on them. I think it would've been a good idea for Snap On to have put recessed handles on the top box...like one of my Craftsman boxes has.

But no biggie...I have my Snap On middle and top boxes on a Snap on rollaway...so I shouldn't have to take them off for any reason.

so how did the OP make out?

i'm happy with US General quality, but there doesn't seem to be a middle box (which i will use on a shelf so it doesn't need to match anything) so i found the 3 drawer middle on the Grizzly website for $170 shipped (plus tax i assume) Amazon wants 195 for same.

Q: is this box okay?

Weighs 36 pounds and has 100 pound rated slides so unless they really fucked it up somehow it should be a decent box.
