So I came across this press. Tried to search through Google and didn't find anything on it. Only markings on it is "CDM" and "2" on the other side. Anyone familiar with this press and is this specifically for eyelets/grommets or can I use this for solid/tubular rivets? Also is this a modern design or is it vintage? Thanks in Advance.

How are the dies held in? The size and pitch of the threads on the top die determine what dies you can use. And you need a set of dies for every rivet or grommet you're going to install. (which aren't cheap, unless you're buying 1000s of grommets at the same time...). I forget the sizes, but there are a couple standard threads that are common, and a metric on.

Seems like the the bottom die is held in by that set screw pictured sticking out at the base where the bottom die sits. On the top die there's hole where I believe you can stick a metal shank in there for leverage to unscrew it. I haven't had a chance to search for dies but hoping there are dies for smaller solid rivets so I can use this for a vintage tool box restoration. Thanks for the help.
