well gents hopefully someone can help me out with this one. I'm doing the deed this summer and getting hitched. I'm getting my groomsmen personalized gifts, one is getting a engraved hunting knife, one a platinum pen, and so on, My one buddy is a gear head and I wanted to get him a wrench with a engraving on it. I'm looking for a quality wrench that has as little engravings on it from the factory. Like, maybe one that would say snap on, on one side, but nothing on the other. Anybody know of anything like that?

Congrats! I'm doomed for the same fate in a couple weeks:beer:

The f80 seems to have a good amount of space over the lever or on the shaft. And who wouldn't want an F80? :D
Something I got as a gift for photographing my soon to be wife's sister's wedding is a branding iron with my initials on it. Not as practical as the ratchet, but it's pretty awesome

I was at a wedding last year and the groomsmen got engraved Leathermans. I thought that was kinda cool. My favorite one was a wedding where the groomsmen got Igloo ice chests. Kinda a Redneck thang, but I dug it!

Why not get in touch with SO and explain what you want to do. See if maybe you could get a "special" wrench with minimal markings. Then take it to a jeweler and have it engraved with a saying that would be appropriate. You have a few months and an e-mail does not cost anything. The worst Snap-On could say is "sorry, we can't do it"

A few years back, I gave my groomsmen gifts that matched their interests. I gave one of them a St. Louis Cardinals jersey, another (drinking buddy) got an engraved flask, and I gave a gift certificate to a very nice golf course to another.

My new father in law got an engraved pocket Leatherman.

I got my groomsmen the biggest Swiss Srmy knives I could find. I think I got the blade engraved with the date so it was not too gaudy. Those big Swiss Army knives have so much in them that they are not really good for much but they are kind of cool. They also come in black which I found a little more classy for a wedding.

Swiss army knives I think the model is "the executive" it is the just the perfect size for a pocket knife. Not to big for your pocket but has very usefull blades. Hopefully this link will work. Good luck with the wedding, and remember it is her day and you are just window dressing. go where you are told to go and stand where you are told to stand and say what you are told to say and real life will begin again a week later. When I did it I gave sandals. May sound odd but the sandals have a bottle opener in the sole. It was the best gift, every guy like them. What's better than having a bottle opener all the time. They aren't too cheap, but still worth it.

R6, that brand idea is really cool!! As an amateur blacksmith, this one really appeals to me. Did the bride and groom have it made, or was it something they just happened across?

I have a cabinet full of beer steins/mugs with my name and the date of the event on them from numerous weddings I have been in (being German/Polish we occassionally drink a little beer). Pocket knives are always cool. I wanted to do something a bit different when I got married. I have a friend that builds saddles and other leather gear. I had him make leather toiletry/shaving kit bags out of saddle leather and had their initials tooled into the leather. He charged me about $50 a piece-I guess I should of asked him to be a groomsman...... Everyone loved 'em and to my knowledge most are still using them 6 years later. You can get shot glasses, flasks, mugs, koozies all sorts of drinking paraphenalia. Tool-wise you can get custom engraved mag-lite flashlights, leatherman tools, bbq tool sets with embroidered aprons, keychains, surefire G2 flashlights are awesome and can be had for less than $40 each, personalized coasters(keeps the wives happy), and the list goes on and on....anything can be personalized for a price-it just depends on how much $$ you want to spend.

I got my groomsmen igloo coolers. I still see two of the coolers every year at our annual fishing trip 25 years now.

I'm surprised the Channellock person has not chimed in. They push engraved Channellock pliers - maybe a cheaper alternative to a custom Snappy wrench which I would estimate to cost $324.
