Pulled black and red wires plus a shared neutral and a ground to upstairs in shop. Black for switched outlets, red for ceiling lights. Circuit breakers are adjacent so that’s how they share the neutral. Yes the breakers have a connector bar so they both move at the same time. Building inspector tells me I need the switched outlets on ground fault breaker despite upstairs having wood floors.

Question: Do have I have to pull another neutral for the ground fault breaker? I can’t think of a way to share the neutral if one breaker is ground fault. Thanks.

Put a GFCI receptacle as the first device in the run if the wiring will support it, this assumes it does not share the neutral downstream, otherwise a 2-pole GFCI circuit breaker will have to be used.
