Ground Fault problem

Not exactly a shop deal but I rebuilt the deck behind the house this spring and that required removing the hot tub. After reinstalling it I am having a problem with the ground fault part of the SQUARE D HOM2-4L50R 50AMP 120/240V SAFETY SWITCH box. I am pretty sure I have all the wiring hooked up the same as before so am a bit at a loss as to what I have wrong.

Ideas???

whats going on...tripping, no power, etc? Are you using the same cable as before?

Check the obvious stuff first. Is the neutral from the tub connected to the breaker or the neutral bar?

Take pics of your GFCI breaker and post 'em. I'm guessing u have the neutral from the tub connected to the neutral bar instead of the breaker!

Ground is to ground bar on each end - neutral (white) is connected to neutral hub at each end (tub and breaker). Two hots at each end - black and red.

When breaker is set to "ON" all is good until ground fault button pressed, then breaker goes off.

This is new cable - same size as before only longer as tub moved about 4 ft.

Are you sure that your GF buton is not the test button to see if the GFI breaker is working properly? Pushing the test button should trip the breaker.

Jeeze - maybe your right. I best go try the pump etc.

The push to test function is a standard on all gfci breakers. And like ^^ stated, that'll trip the breaker.

Thanks to frankush - sometimes us old folks get stuck on one line thinking.
Sooooo - getting my head out of my azz I checked and there is power to the tub but the display/control panel is not responding.

Guess I need to find the book and chase it some more tomarrow.
