Saw this for sale, it looks useful for working without a lift so I'm either sitting on a short stool or down on a creeper.

The reason I'm asking about it is I did some searching and couldn't find anything like this for sale new, (maybe I don't know what to call it) so could be they aren't useful in practice? Thought it would help keep me from laying parts and tools on the ground but maybe more trouble than it's worth? Anybody have or use one?

Ha, Tool Creeper, knew someone here would figure it out. I actually looked on the Harbor Freight and Snap On websites without finding anything like it, didn't spot the one you linked. Thanks

Now that that's figured out, anyone use them?

Never seen one before, would be handy for heavy truck work where you use a creeper a lot. I have used a junk creeper for tool hauling duty before in that line of work.

Yes it does look useful. Usually the tool compartments on my creeper are too small to hold every tool and parts, and the location makes reaching a tool difficult from certain positions.

The tool creeper sure beats a piece of cardboard too. Now, what can I re-purpose in the shop to make one?

It looks like a cut down service cart. Probably an older version of this.

I’ve only seen plastic versions on sale on amazon. One brand tried offering accessories like lights that would dock onto it.

I work on the garage floor and thought the same, something low with wheels would be really helpful. I’ve been meaning to build something, just too lazy to sit down and think about what would be helpful to organize tools and parts.

I like the concept. I don't have a lift so I'm on the floor sometimes. Over time (and considerable investment) I've learned not to lay nice chrome tools on the concrete floor. I typically have pieces of cardboard or carpet laying around the work area to help protect the tools. This might be practical for me.

Nice idea. Beats crawling on the floor with a fistful of tools...

Definitely useful. I had an old paint tray and a furniture dolly that I made into one before I knew what they were.

Thanks All! Learned about a tool I'd never seen, good day. Tried to buy the one I posted from Facebook Marketplace but the seller never replied and then marked it sold.

Might give the Harbor Freight one a try if it works with the 20% off coupon.

I have one of the HF tool creepers very handy little item.

Same. That HF tool creeper is super-duper amazeballs handy for us home gamers who have to work on the floor. I just saw a coupon for $15.

It's the absolute cat's *** for stuff like brake jobs. Do one side, keep all your stuff on the creeper, then wheel over to the other side. When you're done, pick it up and put your **** away in one trip without stuff rolling all over the place.

I did the same as "seber" did, but added a piece of old carpet to it. I never knew there was a "tool creeper" until I saw the HF one. I purchased one with a coupon in the $15.00 range. It is really handy, and is one of those things you don't think you need until you have one.

I use the bottom half (shell) of an old Eureka canister vacuum. Steel, rolls easily and works great.

Based on the replies I hit Harbor Freight and picked up the tool creeper along with some other items, got the creeper for $14.39 after 20% discount and got 30% off several "under ten dollar" items AND a free magnetic tool tray.

The cashier first acted like I couldn't use the 20% and 30% together but they scanned from the coupon app I had on my phone so all was good.

Tool Creeper looks very handy, will go well with my HF Pneumatic Roller Seat.
