Grounding question

When I had my slab poured I attached a solid copper ground wire to the rebar in the footer. I did this in 2 corners.

Should I attach this to the building or the ground rod that my sub panel is attached to? This is a steel building.

What you did is called a UFER ground and the wire/GEC from that should go to the ground bus bar in your subpanel. Make sure the neutral bar is isolated as well.

When a UFER is used, no other grounding electrodes are required so the ground rod was a waste.

This is a branch feeder circuit so the power company would have no say in it.

The building steel should be grounded back to the bus bar as well.

Speaking of that..

What would be the best way to bond a wood frame steel R panel building?

Typical new pole building construction..

ALL the siding and roofing should be all common what with all the screws..

But it is all still isolated, not bonded.

So... Best way to bond ?

I was thinking just a short piece of #6 solid from the panel, drill and 5/16 bolt. fender washers, bed all in silicone after scraping paint.

Thoughts ?

I am not sure but I saw it on a general builder test said it needed bonded with 10 and a 10 screw.
There is not a lot of potential for larger circuits to contact this type of building steel. Even larger circuits are not above 60A. Service conductors normally piped.

That would more than sufficient, [EDIT] but the inspector might want a listed product
(Why not install a screwlug?)
