Grounding Wire?

I'm installing a meter base on and a breaker box in a shop at my house.My question is if i run my ground wire from my grounding rod to the small lug designated in the meter base for it what am i going to run my ground bar in the breaker box to if I don't have any copper plumbing in my shop?Thanks in advance.

DO NOT land a GEC (grounding electrode conductor) in the meter base unless your POCO specifically requires it.
Run from the main panel to a ground rod then on to a second >6' away.
