been lookin' at this site for a while now and have come to the time that i must confess that i watch this site more than the old cars, trucks and bikes on e-bay. i like the way we all share a goal of trying to help one another in a project or give our two cent for a fix-it-problem that someone my have, for that i would like to thank everyone. as i am just a new-be here and look forward to the "you ****" award i well keep building my tools and small shop to be the 'best' and 'most' i can be. as an old long haul trucker, old biker, all around grump i look forward to a long time with ya'll - yes thats oil field texas talk for everyone. old truckers never die they just get "re-tired" in the fla. panhandle and use a stick to poke fun at all the snow birds. i think this is a great bunch of people and thank full to have found them and look foreward to there help on many projects, keep the sunny side up and your eye on the prize 'cause it's only going to get better from here.

i was in midland - (west by god texas, home of the oil field hand, desert rat, hardest workers) texas, from 83 till 87 and returned from 94 till 96. some of the best B-B-Q and the best mex. food in the world. odessa is the home to the coldest beer on the end of a long hot hard day of work and some of the best people you can find anywhere. i think i miss the sun sets the most- somthing about the desert sky and the air over the new mexico to make a sunset to make you want to stop and thank the good lord for what a man has and the life you were blessed with. you have to ride an hr. just to get to someplace and eat, so the biking out in the desert was great and fast. the pay was frist rate and as a young man life was only going to get better- ah, to be young and strong workin' and makin' good pay for the work being done, riding a fast H-D chopper and miles of highway, what more could a young man ask for ????????

I lived in Odessa from 83 to 89 as a teenager. It is my home town and still have a lot of family there. I left in 89 when I went into the service. You are right about the BBQ and Mexican food. I use to enjoy watching the storms/tornado's form off in the distance.
