I just found an 8" adjustable wrench with a hexagonal G/S marking at a Springfield, Missouri flea market.

I cleaned it up and offer you folks a few pictures of what I think is a Gamble Stores branded wrench. I think it's unusual in that it has a smooth hanging hole, not a broached hanging hole like some GS wrenches according to Alloy Artifacts, Alloy Artifacts, Diamond Calk. I'm thinking that Diamond Tools made this one without a broached hole or maybe Tiger Tools made it. Note: it has a spring at the knurled worm (thumb) screw similar to the Diamond brands. But the coloring is definitely more like the "yellowy" colored Tiger Tools that I have. By yellowy, I mean a kind of a yellowy chrome color, maybe a nickel plating rather than chrome??

Any thoughts on this little $5 find? Thanks!

Initial thought is that “Tiger Tools” wasn’t a manufacturer, just a brand name Gamble’s used so they didn’t make it.

Thanks, I did view that thread...maybe i shoulda just added onto that one instead of a new thread.??
It’s alway nice to keep topics together, let’s people know you’ve been there, and we don’t give you old news. The Vintage Board gets lotsa of thread resurrections, but if it adds info, it’s rarely a bad thing.
