Who made the GS wrenches with the hexagon logo?
Have a 8" adjustable wrench with 9/16 boxed end.

If you're basing that off the 9/16 box in the handle, I just found an 8" Lakeside with the broach as well (posted on my site).Probably J.P. Danielson...
Probably J.P. Danielson...
Yes, the broach is the reason for my guess, Todd. All things being equal, I'd still consider J.P. Danielson to be the more likely maker given their volume.
I believe I've encountered another brand with a broach too...
A photo will help, of course!

I don't think it looks anything like JPD but I encourage other assessments!
Pic?
The G/S letters inside a hexagon are the mark of tools made for Gambles Stores.
This is a picture of what I just asked for I. D.--sounds like a positive one!

I'm going to say Diamond made this one. from alloy artifacts
"Industrial Distributors and Retail Stores
Diamond tools were carried by a number of industrial distributors and by some large retailers, including Western Auto Supply and the Gamble Stores chain.
•
Gamble's Auto Supply 1940. The 1940 Gamble's Auto Supply & Tool catalog offered adjustable wrenches under the Gamble's and Tiger brands, with both types recognizable as Diamond production. The Gamble's brand wrenches noted the use of drop forged steel with a black finish, and the Tiger brand wrenches featured chrome alloy steel with a triple-plated chrome finish. Both models were illustrated with hexagonal gullets and double-hex broached hanging holes. Wrenches were available in sizes 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, and 24 inches, with the 24 inch size only in the alloy steel (Tiger) model. This is currently our only catalog reference showing broached hanging holes for Diamond wrenches."

Just a few of the Tiger tools that I have-with a close look the one wrench looks like it could have been a Industrial made??? Pliers? Vlcek?![]()
