Yes, sorry, should have posted this pic too:

I am wondering the standard stuff. Volts, phase, HP, tank size, etc etc. You know, that useless data people NEVER put in ads! I have emailed and asked for the info off the motor(s) data plate.

Anyone know anything about these?

single stage duplex...not designed to run air tools, but to supply control air probably for a large HVAC system. Those are probably 3 phase motors. And the compressors are designed for longivity and not high pressure. You can probably buy an inexpensive new compressor for the cost of new single phase motors.

We would run two dual stage IR duplex compressors for some of our aircraft hanger operations. Good flow rates and HIGH reliability. I suspect the compressor is actually a rebadged Speed Air, they specialized in high reliability compressors for large fire protection systems, not to mention it is painted in SpeedAir colors and the compressors pumps look awfully familair:)

The motors should have a data plate for phase, voltage and draw. Using the car as a scale, I suspect probably a 40-60 gallon tank.

My friend uses a compressor like that for his shop and it works fairly well. The one he has is just a single pahse moto and one pump though. It's a Speed Aire I believe, I know it was used for HVAC controls before. Was something that they pulled from a job at the HVAC shop his uncle owns.

Not high pressure, but it goes to 120psi-130psi if I remember correct so it would run most air tools. I know lots of guys are used to shop air being 150-175psi, but I try to keep my tools closer to 90-100psi unless I need the extra pressure.

IMO it worked just as well, if not better as my oil less Craftsman compressor, and fairly quiet as well.

Those look like single phase motors. Even if they are 3 phase, if you got the compressor for cheap ($100-200) it wouldn't be that much money all said and done.

I bet they are 3 phase motors. What's throwing me off is it looks like that they have a start capacitor on top which would say they are single phase?

I don't believe Johnson Controls was ever in the air compressor biz... more likely it was in one of their facilities. I second the Speed-Aire guess.

It is a older Johnson Controls Pureflow. Quote from JC manual:
The PureFlow air compressor is designed expressly for use as a source of air to
power pneumatic climate control systems.

Johnson Controls makes a ton of different things.
