Ok, it looks like I won't be able to finish this before I go on vacation, so I will go ahead and tell you what it is. It is nothing exciting, and yes a lot of it is scrap. It is just a rack for storing shoulder pads for my youth football team. These things sell for $300 each and I can build two of them for $40 worth of conduit. Thanks for all the great guesses, I really enjoyed reading them.

Shoulder pad rack for a high school football team.

I heard they cost $300 new, but I bet you could build it for $30.

Good thing they were gavanized. All that sweat and stank would immediately eat through an unprotected metal!

Thanks. Our Youth Football program is one of my passions. We have 150 kids on our 4 teams ranging from 5-14 years old. These racks are just to store the shoulder pads on during the offseason so they are off the floor and keep the proper shape. We now have a lot more pads than we have racks so I volunteered to make some new ones. I couldn't do the bends in my HF pipe kinker, so I had to do them by hand with a conduit bender. They aren't precise or pretty, but they will get the job done. I will take a picture of all the shoulder pads on all of the racks when I get them all finished.

Here is a shot of my 3 boys and my 10-11 year old 2010 Conference Champions:

I don't know about those little guys, but when my kid started playing football at age 13 I never knew he could sweat so much and STINK so much ! Those shoulder pads and rib pads got spayed with a lot of Lysol !

yeah we spray these down before we rack em. It's the pants that the lazy parents never wash that smell so bad.

You gonna put some wheels on it? That is where the huge cost difference is at.
Nice work btw.
