*edit* not sure if this is ONLY for garage floors, but i think this turned out really cool and wanted to share it

In all I used 9,632 pennies on the floor.

This was a complete remodel of the bathroom (down to the studs and plumbing pipes)... started by ripping up the entire floor and grinding the concrete smooth.. after that i painted the concrete black so that the pennies would have some sort of background.

I then glued every single penny down with some instant gorilla glue... yes, it took forever, making sure the head faced the same way throughout... there are even some wheat pennies and Canadian pennies hidden within

Afterwards I covered everything in a two part epoxy, literally poured it on like syrup and let it level itself out.

This was a year ago and still not a blemish in the floor

Looks slick!

What did it cost you (in value of the pennies & the epoxy cost, etc)
I saw a pic of a bar / coffee shop that did that & she said it was close to the cost of regular flooring.

I think it was around $2.30/sqft (total ~$96.32).. the epoxy was $10 (needed 2) and the glue was $6 (needed 6).. other than that it was a lot of hours sitting on the floor

You guys are pretty 'punny'.. its actually not any more slippery than a tile floor... sure, get it wet and it could be slick but for the most part its good!
