GULMITE socket - info + post your GULMITE staff

Got this GULMITE socket together with old 1939s Husky set. No size number. The inside diameter is approximately 1/2". Looked on e-bay: seems that GULMITE staff is rare and is bought for premium (probably because it's no longer produced)

I think that this is for some time of security nut or bolt.

Do you know what is this used for?
How old is it.
How do you determine the size appropriately?

Looks like a specialty spline drive....is it a normal 3/8" or 1/2" square drive?

It's a regular 3/8" drive

Sorry, gone for a long time. If I remember correctly it was for some either electronic or vintage bus work ...
