Gun Safe

Hey guys and girls, I am wondering has anyone built their own gun safes, and if you have can you please post any plans or pictures of it.

hm not a gun SAFE but my dad made a gun cabinet with locks...

unless you can find an old huge safe for cheap to line with sheetrock, etc., and then carpet, I don't see it being cost effective at all.

Costco has a very nice Winchester gun safe now. If I had not had my Sentry I would be grabbing it.

Why? ...I understand there are severe restriction on gun ownership. Is there a problem with a safe?

probably no problem with a safe except for the 21 hour plane ride each way.

well if theres not very many guns, theres gonna be even less gun safes. rare items tend to hold their value.

And people posting links to a good deal in the US are probably not gonna help him much. i pointed that he lived in australia because some obviously missed it.

hey guys thanks for all the information here in Australia I have been to over 5stores and have found 1 gun safe, the only problem is that it is too small. I have contacted my local authorities and they said that it would be easier to make one my self

we only have one costco here in Victoria I will make the drive down on the weekend and have a look hopefully they will sell them, thanks for the info.

i sort of made a gun room i took my spare closet doubled up the studs and did 3 sheets of drywall on each wall. adding a steel fire door asap also. hoping this will help with fire protection for my ammo and such. i also have a gun safe inside the closet.
