As my first post I just want to say that you've built an awesome collection of VW's and the garage is pretty awesome too. I love the use of the old dealership cabinets and displays.

oops I bought another one. I have become a dad and needed something more practical for the events. So I found a 1972 Poba camper that has been sitting since 1999. It is to high to get into the garage and smells really funky not being opened since 1999. So I took a cup of coffee in it - planning how to get room for another one in there...

Hej Gustav - En hilsen fra Danmark ;-)

It was actually your garage that led me to create my profile here in the dawn of time... So you are directly to blame for all the time I've spent here! ;-)

My brother in law has built one of Denmark's finest buggies, and is now working on a V-Rod project... The work is performed in conjunction with other VW geeks in an old barn they call "the cave", so I know all about the VW people's obsession of collecting things from that specific brand (... and I do the same with the Italians my self).

It's a great garage you've built, and an equally great thread you have created around it!

Now that I came by your thread, I thought I owed you a message... after all the time you've cost me ;-)

Vi ses på vejene - Foråret er på vej

Hi Jacob

I bet I know your brother.
Thank you for the kind words on my garage.
I have new plans for building some overhead storage - so keep wasting time here!

I finally got a little time for doing my overhead storage. The entire winter and spring went by making the green bus drivable - and camping in it in Sweden + driving 3000 km in three weeks.

Here´s the first sticks up. Notice that I have turned the mountings upside down to be able to drywall the underside of the shelves. I freebee´d a lot of flush mount spots. I want to build those in the shelves later.

Hi Gustav

Nice shop and cool vw collection, from a fellow Dane.
Love the concept of keeping build cost low, same idea here in my land rover lair in westjutland.

I also got the big main cable from the house put in the ground and hooked up the garages own circuit breaker. Now all the outlets work. Nice!

and under the patio and into the house and its main cable.

Nice job Gustav!!

Did you paint it yourself? I've been thinking of painting my copenhagen garage with epoxy, but i'm unsure of how difficult it is.

Does it come as a finished product, so you "just" have to draw it out?

Your result is perfect!

Amazing workshop, love the style and organisation, and beautiful vws (even if I am more the vintage type who likes vws at their original height..). I suscribe to see the future updates!

The floor is dark grey Ral 7022.. . I had a friend do it. Didn´t look very difficult - but you need some machines for cutting the surface and vacuuming the nasty dust. Took two afternoons.

I´m picking up another one at the same location soon. A bit lower and a little wider (sixties era - this one is a 1956 DISA76)

Those Vw's look awesome man.
