Guy wire interferes with new driveway

The guy on the strip of land between the sidewalk and the street which I believe is owned by the city.

I know of one case where the guy was moved at no cost. What has been your experience especially with DTE (SE MI) ?

I see no reason a power company would move a guy just because a customer wanted it moved. If you could show a real need to have it moved, they might consider it....might, being the key word.

Call DTE and talk to them. Get the right department and show them the proposed plans and ask how they can re-guy the pole to accommodate it. If it us guying a line of poles, maybe they can guy the one before it and reduce the length of this guy. Be as flexible as you can and you will get cooperation. Ask for their help. Engineers love to solve problems.
