It is everyone else's blind Craftsman hate that bugs me, your guys stuff is all totally fine.
The world of a Maintenance Mechanic is totally different, has it's own challenges and Craftsman does the job without letting us down.

If you have any inclination to upgrade some of your tools, I'll be happy to relieve you of the replaced tools. Such a conundrum! I would not want you to walk around feeling lost. LOL

What camera do you currently have and any equipment already heavily invested such as lenses? Any particular features you absolutely need? How much do you want to spend?
For example, I absolutely need a built in focus motor for any nikon camera I get because I have older non G series lenses.

Get a new hobby, that usually requires new tooling.
BTW, 99% of my tools are Craftsman and I love them.

I dont even know hows thats possible. I dont thing theres a tool box big enough or for that matter a a garage big enough to hold all the tools I really want.

99% of my tools are also craftsman. I have no issues with them. Now going into the sears store today to pickup new tools was a whole new experience for me that was vastly different than 2 years ago. That is a story for a different thread.

I shoot Olympus believe it or not. Considering jumping ship to Nikon. Likely going used from KEH, want to get a 300mm zoom for my Olympus and something really fast around 50mm, 1.8 or so.

Consider getting a body with a full frame FX sensor. I have a Nikon D700. Only drawback is that your DX lenses won't work properly.

Folks have descended into a bullying, mob mentality.
It must be some kind of self hate since our tool chests are all chock full of Craftsman. Everyone has some Craftsman. Even the Chinese Craftsman tools are good quality and will work in every situation. Even the old Craftsman isn't much better quality than the new stuff. The good 'ole days weren't always so good. Sears sells more American tools than Home Depot, Harbor Freight, and Lowes ever will. I think a lot has to do with fancy Nancys who have to justify going into debt over $150 Snap On ratchets and $10,000 tool chests when a $15-$35 Craftsman ratchet and $800 tool chest will do the same work without screwing up your credit report.

A few years ago I thought I have a good amount of tools(mostly USA Cman) and I was good with that until I found this forum

I don't know what I would use them for, the offsets that is.
I have 6 point, 12 point and spline drive combos but generally the twelves are all I ever need. I don't wrench on cars much and if I do I do it after work, at work where all my tools are and it's a lot easier anyway.
OH I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING! NEW T HANDLES! AND MAYBE HAMMERS!
I know what to do this weekend now!

I remember when I was building my first house... I walked into a Hardware store in North Seattle and was shocked that I didn't need anything. It was a real let down. But, like all things time took care of that and soon I needed more.

Do you have a metric alignment wrench for a flux capacitor? Unless you have one of these, your collection is not complete.

How many times must we rehash this, unless it's a ratchet, socket or end wrench of some sort, most of the other stuff you buy is still US at Sears.
Screwdrivers, pry bars, chisels, punches, pliers, adjustable wrenches, scrapers, hooks and picks, assorted other stuff all US. There are even some Euro tools in the mix.

Not much problem with "wants"....I'm fairly satisfied with "NEEDS"....and "NEED RIGHT NOW's"...which means something BROKE....
As for camera's what about a Canon 5D Mark III with a 135mm Red-ring Lens? THAT satisfy your "NEED" for a new camera-goal???

Maybe you just think you have all you want or need. Theres probably a few things you decided against cause you got by without them, but maybe theyll increase productivity even if slightly.
Or starting a new hobby. You have all the plumbing, woodworking, electrical, welding, machining, hvac tools? etc.
In any case you could have worse problems.

Honestly I am not much for doing stuff at home, I weld, fab, machine and wrench at work and really don't feel like doing it when I get home. I would much rather go take pictures or go watch trains (I am a railfan too) when not at work. Anyone else here feel like that?
Back to cameras, all my friends around here shoot Nikon and I enjoy the idea of being able to swap lenses amongst us as they already do so for that I am not real interested in Canon. Plus all the "cool kids" shoot Canon and I like to be a contrarian, another reason I have shot Olympus for so long.

How can you say you have all the tools you need?
I admit, that once you have a few tools, that you find you often have the tool you need to do a job.
For instance, today I wanted to remove some stainless bolts, washers and nuts from a broken TV antenna tripod before scrapping it. Had nice Gearwrench 1/2" and 9/16" wrenches ready for service.
But yesterday I wanted to make a bike part and didn't have a metric tap in the right size.
Now I need a set of metric taps.
And so it goes.
The more you want to be able to do, the more tools you need to do it.
If you quit needing tools, you've quit doing new things.
Not to mention worn out or broken ones.
And that doesn't count the need to just have a tool because of it's intrinsic beauty.

I have access to all the taps, dies, hardware, drillbits and any other consumable item I coudl ever need at work. So I don't spend money on anything consumable. Which helps considerably. And again, anything I do is at work as a maintenance mechanic, so my collection does not need to be as elaborate as anyone elses. For one thing almost everything I work with is SAE although I do have a set each of Metric Combos, 1/4 inch sockets and 3/8 inch sockets along with Allen keys and sockets for anything I may run across. I do have a circular saw, a compound miter and a drill press that I honestly don't remember why I bought.
I have pretty basic stuff at home and really don't care all that much to get much more for home. Cordless drill, Hammers, Combos, Allens, and 1/4 and 3/8 in sae and metric, and half inch in metric, Screwdrivers, a couple pipe wrenches and crescent wrenches. Other than changing my oil and brakes and odd jobs around the house that is about all I want or need at home and I am fine with that... Unless I shouldn't be in which case maybe I should clean out the garage and get a HF 52 inch for out there?

...and you can still find Craftsman USA ratchets (Craftsman Pros) and USA sockets and USA wrenches if you look around a bit.
I was at OSH just a week ago which carries Craftsman and I still found some 1/4 inch drive socket sets that were made in the USA. Costco still carries those mechanic tool sets that are made in the USA. Every Sears in my area has those Craftsman Pro USA ratchets in stock too.
