Hello,

I was chasing a leak on a vw bus the other week and I had to use a face shield but it was all beat up.

I was wandering if there is a prefered brand for you wrenchies?
My guess is that brake cleaner will fog its plastic and I bet there is different kinds of shields.

I almost bought a cheapo at HF but I prefer to bite the bullet and get quality PPE.

Thanks!

I had to go return some ****** s wrenches to HF, I picked up their "deluxe" version for a face shield while I order a nicer one.
It will do its job.
I have had mine for a while and definitely put it through its paces. If it ever breaks I want a bionic shield but man I really can't fault this thing at all.

I'm not going to lie, I want to buy that just because it looks cool!

It does look cool. I've had my eyes drilled three times. The first and second time no big deal. In fact, I kind of felt drunk after they put the drops in my eyes. It was great very relieving and took all the pain away. I asked if I could take some home and was told it would make me blind if I used it too much. That's how you know it was good. The third time my eye was drilled it hurt so bad I almost twitched while they were drilling. Very, very painful. The other times was no big deal. I bought the Uvex shield after my third eye drilling procedure.

No metal in the eyes since. Wait, got metal one time and picked it out quick. Wasn't wearing the shield. The shield is very light and full coverage. I had tight googles on one time and still got metal in the eye. The shield>googles/glasses/anything.

I'll add to the chorus for the Uvex bionic. So much nicer than the other ones I've used.
