H.D Husky cabs , on Clearance.

Stopped at 2 different stores in Central Illinois. Seemed like a decent amount at both to pick from.
Was told at the Champaign store they were the Black Friday leftovers.
Mattoon seemed to have a wider variety.
Prices are not marked down a huge amount but it will be interesting to see if and when those prices fall.

Some of the versions were on display but I didn't pay too much attention to which sizes were set up.
Both stores had them stacked up in front between the entry doors , however Champaigns store had most of theirs up on the top shelves.

I have that 41" box listed at $298. Check th ebottom drawer for damage. They pack the casters in the bottom drawer and my sliders and the sheet metal were destroyed when I opend it and put it together. I wasted about 2 hours assembling one then finding the damage, trying to get replacement parts, then being told to exchange it for a new box (one hour round trip to HD).

I got an extra 10% off for my troubles.




ALL OF THAT SAID...

For ~$300 it is a very good deal (mine was $270 with the discount). If I had a HF closer I'd have bought the $360 HF 42" U.S. General bottom box, but HF is about a 2.5 hour round trip (and shipping would be $96). I bought this box and am very happy with it, now that I have one that is not damaged.

In Apex, NC store, tried to put some weight (body) on one of the
drawer of the $219 Stainless Steel one, the slide twists ... don't know
how much weight it can handle

Also it seems that the $298 is for the 41" top _and_ bottom

The Husky cabs are sold without drawer liners now, so plan on spending some $$ on those to get the drawer bottoms protected. I checked out those cabs before I bought my HF 5-drawer cart, and they're extremely thin metal, IMO.

I got the ss one and it is actually a really nice box. Just my luck though I got it a while back for $300.

Local HD has the one you have picture for $129 marked down to $50
They have the larger all black one (black drawers)marked down to $75

Black 41" top & bottom model just got marked down to $248. Plenty in stock in Norwalk, CT but they are going fast.
