I have one and it did a good job on trim and molding. They have an pneumatic one which is inexpensive as well. I wonder if it might be useful for automotive tasks?

The motors inside of these might eventually burn up but for this price they are really hard to beat. I have had mine for about 3 years now and have used it a good bit and it is still going.

There are several models

The basic model is line powered, fixed speed and has few accessories.
The better line powered model has variable speed and more accessories.
The lithium battery powered model has fixed speed, and comes with a nice case and more blades.

Any feedback on the blades? I've got the M12 oscillating tool, but want a source for cheaper blades. HF any good?

The blades **** out quickly if you touch a nail, concrete, or anything else that's harder than wood or drywall.

I just buy a bunch of blades in bulk from Amazon or fleaBay. Have two of the HF saws, one Rockwell (adjustable speed).

I got one of these on sale a while back and love it. It's a good "odd job" tool. So far it has been more robust than I would expect for that price. So far I've used it to shave down PVC pipe to the floor, cut some extra wood around a window flush and a few other things.

I bought one of these and used it a little bit for the first time a few weeks ago. It worked out really well. Its the only electric power tool I've even bothered with over there. Other tools like their cordless drills and reciprocating saws are WAY too weak for my usage. This tool however is quite handy for occasional use.

Mine will do this as well. I have memorized the most recent 20% off code, and I just tell them it most of the time.
