They had a bin of sockets. I cherry picked most of the 3/8s today but there were some Snap On, 1930s-ish Craftsman, Williams, and others there in 1/4 drive for .50 a pop. Wish they would negotiate.

Why bother at that price. I wouldn't NEG. Would have made an offer on the entire lot. Sounds like you got a good deal either way.
