I am sure that there is a way to defeat the locking mechanism of just about any toolbox.

That may work on my KRA box but not my KRL. The hutch closed won't allow the drawers to open on the top and the bottom has too much trim in the way to slip anything in there. I have the stainless drawer trim top/bottom. With the top on it's go hardly any clearance, in fact one drawer was grabbing the bottom of the drawer on top of it and I had to "adjust" it.

Just a thought but you can get a big gunsafe(not sheet metal) thats pretty much impossible to open for less money than a Snap-On box.

Who cares. Locked, unlocked; a forklift beats all. This is why you all have an extensive photo/video document and all receipts of your tools, right? To make an insurance claim, right? You DO have your tools insured, right?

According to my Mac dealer, Snappy's (at least anything up to a KRL or quite possibly a KRL) are fairly the simplest to crack along w/ Matco's, Cornwells and Craftsman's. He said the locking setup on a Macsimizer however, is probably the hardest to thieve due to however the bar's and lock rods are positioned(he said he wasn't being biased either, so I'll string him as honest as he usually is with me). He's had to pop some before to do repo work b/c tech's lock their box, obviously, especially on their days off while business is a boomin'.

Exactly. They almost all have wheels. If you had an enclosed trailer with a ramp, you wouldn't even need the forklift.

Doesn't matter, they'll find a way to deny it. For all the Barney bad asses talking about a 12 ga protecting it. Ya right. Shoot someone stealing and you'll be the one facing a jury. Doesn't fricking matter the p.o.s prostituters will say that you didn't use "reasonable" force and it wasn't "necessary" you could have called the police. Ya right again! Their response time is typically measured with an hourglass not a stop watch.
Best bet is a good lock from the start. PERIOD! BTW Ford car/van locks **** ***! Here are pics of one of my guy's van that was broken into last week. He was inside and back out it apx. 8 minutes, everything of value in the front was long gone. Good locks on the back - they didn't touch it.
