Had my account a while.. but never really introduced myself

Hey GJ,

I'm a 25 year old who recently got a job repairing speedometers and other gauges for older model German cars. I made a profile a few years ago so I could get my uncle a used Snap On ratchet that was too good to pass up. But I never really thought about being active on the posts.

With my recent job, I've been more active in learning more about tools. Back then all I needed was a 17mm wrench to undo the oil pan drain bolt to do my oil change. Things have definitely changes.

Really learning the value of getting the best hand tools you can buy. I enjoy reading different posts here and hopefully be able to contribute to this site down the road.

Appreciate all the knowledge around here!!

GB: i didn't register when i first started reading posts on GJ which was maybe 10 years ago. then almost every time i googled an old tool i'd always end up here. finally had a good vise to restore and needed a little help and now i'm hooked. I usually learn something every time i check in to read a post or threads on this site so i'm on it several times a day most days now.

ask questions if you have any on how to use the site or where you might find something if you can't on your own search and we'll help if we can.

I do plan to ask for tips how to make my set up at work more efficient. Next thing I know I have a bunch of tools and small parts on my desk and it just gets hard to focus. I would have to take a pic of it soon.
