Yep, I think you're right. I reported an eBay keyword spammer, then the seller complained about me, and eBay sent me a reprimand.
I'm telling you, if a good alternative to eBay surfaced, they'd lose business in droves.

Eh... There should be an action that can be done against this sort of behavior.... Maybe write a piece of software that would auto - scan this sort of thing?
We all know how well Snap On sales are monitored for warranty infringements; maybe they could do something like this to watch for the keyword spammers?

No kidding, that eBay just keeps getting worse and worse, it's a shame the other auction sites couldn't hang on. I'll bet eBay put a lot of money into putting them out of business.

Their already is "software" to eliminate a lot of those issues. You can just use some simple boolean codes in your search to avoid unwanted items. For example, I have been watching for WWII Japanese military sniper scopes for a year or more now, so I saved a "favorite search" as: "Jap* sniper" The asterisk immediately following the word "Jap" allows me to find any word having the first three letters as "J" and "A" and "P" in a row, with anything (or nothing) following it. So I will find Jap, and Japanese, and even misspellings (As long as they start with Jap). But the quote marks around the whole thing mean that I will ONLY see listings with the words "Jap" and "Sniper" immediately together, in that order (including any spelling for Jap or Japanese, etc). So I don't see things like "sniper paint ball gun", etc. But then lately a brand of scissors has come out listed as "Jap Sniper Scissors" or similar. To get rid of these pesky listings from my searches, I just added the following code exactly as you see it: -sci* (keep in mind that the minus sign must be touching the following characters. It won't eliminate anything after any space) So my search looks like: "jap* sniper" -sci* Now I see every listing for Jap or Japanese Sniper (when those two words are exactly in order that way), and I see no scissors. But I also won't see "Sniper scope Jap" either. To eliminate those glasses cases for example, you could search "Snap On" -glas*, or etc. You also won't see things like "Snaps on", since there is only one "S" between your quote marks.
