I got this last week and could not find anything on the Halcomb Steel Company making screwdrivers.
Maybe a homemade job or economy line sold back in the day. Its a very basic design as seen in pics.

First off that is a real cool find,(y)(y) yes indeed I found Halcomb, and dreadnought went hand in hand. I don't know about them making screwdrivers because the information was a little on the scant side as they say from just digging into it a little bit tonight.

One idea/thought might be a sales type tool for their company? Perhaps they handed them out to customers, and it advertises the company? just a guess mind you.

Its a good guess indeed. My guess would be a piece of steel square stock from Halcomb the original owner found then shaped the tip and repaired an old screwdriver. Only problem with that guess is all the crude pieces fit perfectly like they were meant to be.

I worked at Crucible for over a decade as their tool steel metallurgist. As you walked into their main office building you could read the words “Halcomb Steel Company” carved into the granite over the entrance. When I first saw this I recalled being told that my Grandfather had worked in the melt shop of the Halcomb steel company in the early 1900s. Funny how things are connected sometimes.
