Just finished doing half of my garage with performanceepoxy.com tan + clear coat.

I am wondering
Will anything special need to be done at the junction of the first and second half? not sure if some overlapping on the already cured side will cause problems.

Yes, if you overlap it will peel off like window tint. If you have to overlap, tape it off, sand (60 grit) the coated area that will be overlapped, solvent wipe with xylene, acetone or denatured alcohol. Then proceed to coat. Wait till the coating has tacked up, then pull tape. Good luck.

so are you saying the sanding + solvent should completely remove the old coating? or just make it easier to bond?

It should bond better, it will not remove the old coating. You don't need to get carried away with the sanding, you are just trying to rough up the surface. Call me at the office or PM me if you want more help.
