I picked up a full set of SAE at a pawn shop last week and currently have them set out flat in a drawer. This is kind of a poor arrangement to save space and I'm wondering what others have come up with for storing this style wrench.

That's what I am doing with my S type so I too would like to see some more ingenious space saving solutions.

I use a magnetic holder on the side of my toolbox. I got mine at Lowes on clearance

I like the idea of the wrench rail. I didn't have one in my pile of "stuff". I found a piece of foam from a shipping box that I cut into steps that work pretty darn well. It might not be my forever fix but in about 5 minutes I solved my problem. 103c75c9e2f5deafe85daa570394009a.jpg

I used to have mine laid flat but it took so much room. Take 10 gauge solid copper wire (like you wire houses with) and make a coil around a wooden dowel (broom handle). Remove the coil, slightly spread it out (like a spring) and sit your wrenches in it upright. Cheap and easy.
I actually did it with old metal coat hangers too, but the wire hangers are so stiff they're hard to work with.

The half moon and S wrenches are great when you need them...but Satan's spawn is laughing at how we store them the box. I have both and am taking every square inch of my box to try to make it work. I think in the near future I may end up just taking them and throwing them in a drawer in a heap. How often are they used anyway? :)
