Hi !
As a long time lurker here, I would like to introduce myself.
I feel I am getting an addiction to GJ, with it´s knowledgeable members, and different aspects of workshops, be it garages, woodworking shops, or general shops.
I am a Swede, 57 years old, and having worked with professional maintenance all my life, in the mechanics, electronics and electrical fields, I felt it was time to start using the skills sometimes for my own benefit.
I live in a small city,in the South of Sweden, and with a narrow yard, I could not get any permission to build a new big garage, so I had to get on using my old garage/shed from 1946.
It is so small, I could almost not get my old Volvo in it, so I decided to park the car outside, and develop a small handy workshop for myself.
I have already posted my work story today in the Free parking thread; What do you do for a living...
As I am working night shifts nearly all the time, there are nearly just the weekends to do things privately, as the old body needs a lot of sleep...
My plans for the future is to continue to build relatively small sized robots , to use by myself with help of PLC control. Built the first one about 20 years ago... I am also interested in woodworking.
It is nice to be on board here !
