Hi, I just purchased a replacement halogen bulb for a fixture. What I didn't notice was the new one I got is a T3 halogen 150W bulb, and my old one was a T2.5 150W bulb.
They both look identical, they seem to be the exact same shape, length, ratings etc.
My first question is, what does the T mean? What's the difference between 2.5 and 3?
Also, can I use the T3 bulb I got even though my original bulb was a T2.5?
Thanks!
