Halogen

Does anyone use these for garage lighting?
I have flourecents (industrial 8 ') but they are kind of dim when it is cold out.
I was thinking of sulementing them with some halogens, they come on instantly and are bright. Any thoughts or alternatives?

i have the dual bulb 600 watt fixtures. They get real hot when your working under them. I have pulled most out now and gone to good t-8 fixtures. They work when 10 below out.

I am also using low-temperature T8 fixtures -- with bright-white tubes, which really improve visibility.
