Hi Folks,

I usually hang out on the H.A.M.B. (Hokey *** Message Board) and it was brought to my attention that this site and the rest of the Atomic Industries websites and forums exist. So here I am.

The Garage Journal seems pretty cool so far. I hope my garage/mancave measures up...

I have a 4 1/2 car garage that has been dubbed "The Clubhouse" by my family. I will post photos of it eventually, but for starters its equipped with a hard plumbed airlines for tools and painting powered by a 6hp, 30gal, 20cfm air compressor, several 220v outlets, 5 sections of individually controlled overhead lights, 3ft by 6ft metal work bench, a 4ft by 6ft project table, and a full attic for storage. In front of it I have about an 8-10 car size cement pad that gives me plenty of room for projects and such.

I've been gradually collecting tools as well. I just finished putting together a set of vintage body work and metal shaping tools, plus I have Hobart 115v mig welder and a basic assortment of power tools (saws, drills, grinders, etc.) - air and electric.

And for fun there's a 50" plasma with a video game system, DVD-R/VCR, surround sound stereo, and a PC for cruising the internet; leather sofa, Persian rug, and coffee table for reading and relaxing; my collection of neon beer signs, a pachinko game machine from Tokyo, my book and magazine library (HotRod, CarCraft, StreetRod, HighTech Pontiac, *******, and so on...), and an 8ft diameter half round bar for parties and such.

I also do a little bit of shooting, collect and restore antique guns, and restore or repair old tools and mechanical devices.

I'm looking forward to trading ideas and sharing stories here...

Welcome Hotrod!

4 1/2 car garage? There must be a 4 wheeled toy in there somewhere. Post pictures! (for those of us that can't read)
