HAMB guy

I recently joined here on the Garage Journal, but have been a member over on the HAMB for about 15 years, also on the Ford Barn. I'm a car guy, but also enjoy metal working, wood working and just building stuff. Recently got myself a metal lathe, so learning some basic machining skills. I'm a licensed professional Civil engineer and have worked on projects throughout the country. I look forward to contributing, but also learning from the site.

Welcome from a fellow HAMBer. Good luck with the lathe. I have also been learning on a small 9x20 gear head lathe. I can barely make a barrel hinge for my wives garden gate, but I hope to work my way up to threading soon. I have some parts for the AV8 project to build.

BTW, whereabouts in WA are you? My wife is very plugged in the engineering community in western Washington.
