I don't think you typically need to add anything in the normal lifespan unless you're using the hell out of it. You'll probably need a manual or something, you'll have to unseal it and you may need to buy a new seal to put it back together.

The hammers designed to be seriously abused have grease cups right on them. The Bulldogs I just throw a bit of grease on the bit and that's it.
