I got the Dewalt one recently. Worked fine and complements my other Dewalt stuff. Can't go wrong with Bosch either - my BIL has a Hitachi and it has been good for him as well.

I don't buy Craftsman power tools (bad experiences with drills and routers) and the only decent Skil tool is the Skilsaw IMO.

Ditto the bosch: we pretty routinely drill 50 or so 7/8" and up holes in a day: the bosch is the only ones that have managed to pull it off: dewalts don't make a single day, Milwaukees might make the first day then fail the second, craftsmans need not apply. We burned up one hitachi and haven't tried anymore.

In the small handhelds I have used most of the common ones and have found little difference. In the larger sizes (2 hands needed) Hilti, Bosch or Milwaukee. I am wearing out a small DeWalt right now. 2 or 3 project a week and it has lasted in weekly use for 4 years so far. My big one is a Bosch and it has taking a beating for at least 20 years many of them almost daily use. It will last for ever as it gets little use in my line of work nowadays. :)

It mostly be used for putting around 20 tap-cons screws in concrete pad like for deck project. I say it may see three project after the first, then storage it goes with my other tools wait it turn for use or my next crazy idea pop in my head.
