hammer head on crooked

I bought a brass hammer and then realized the head is on very slightly crooked (ie, not exactly 90 degrees to the handle). Should I exchange it or live with it. I doubt it will make a difference in it use but it bugs me.

I agree, when I buy a tool or anything else for that matter,I expect it to be right unless I know ahead of time (scratch and dent,blems,etc.) Besides if the head of the hammer had enough slop in it to be mounted any other way but straight on,then you may be asking for problems on down the road. A hammer head flying off the handle and hitting you in the head isn't a pleasant experience (don't ask me how I know lol)

Also, something inside of me also says, if I don't exchange this item, how will the company ever know I am dissatisfied with their irregular product? I'm probably naive in thinking that returning one item back to the store, telling the return lady why I returned it and then having her correctly fill out the product return, etc. will ever make it to the company. 9 times out of 10 I bet the tool goes back on the shelf and the company never heres of the ones that got past their QC dept.
