I came across this hammer and really like the feel of it. I would like to put some new caps on it and use it in the bike shop. The one remaining cap says "patent pending for Danco" inside of it. Looking at Danco hammers...I have not found one like this one - where the soft cap slips on and has sort of a retaining ring.

Any idea if there are replacement caps for this hammer?
Is this in fact a Danco?
I can make out USA and maybe a "3" on the hammer. Also it looks very worn but there is something wrote on the side in a arcing (?) shape that maybe has an "I" in it or it could be part of an "N".
