Maybe a common type (?) but, I've never seen one like this...possibly a tinner's hammer? Anyone know?n The striking edge is pitched at a 45 degree angle.

So I looked up"saw doctor" and learned a lot but I don't quite get the reason for the angled faces. Is it just as simple as having to work in close quarters or is there a more interesting story?
Bear in mind I repair cars, don't own a forge of an anvil so there's probably a lot I don't know on this subject.
