I got these two hammers in some random tools I got from my uncle. Any ideas what they are for or called?

What kind of tacks? Thanks! My dad bought the car new, so it's a member of the family.

They're used primarily for upholstery work:

I had a 75 and 76 Camaro. My 76 had a built 350 with mostly Edelbrock parts, a beefed up 400 trans, and a 12 bolt rear end. Numerous suspension mods, wide rubber, the works. I was working on a 496 stroker for the 75. Had some money troubles and sold them within a month of each other. Should have never sold them both like that. Either of those are the only car(s) I miss, out of the more than 40 I've owned.

This car was a factory 350/ 4 speed car. We still have the original engine and trans, but it's a 434 small block and a Tremec TKO-600 5 speed now.

The end of the hammer head with the hole in it is sometimes magnetized, so you can stick a tack to the face of the hammer and drive it in with a single smack.

Yes, and there may be a thin slot from the hammer face to the hole. That slot makes a horse shoe magnet.

Well, I guess I'm ready if I ever decide to try upholstery work. Thanks for the answers!

We wanted something we could drive a lot. It's a lot of fun! I usually tell people who ask that it's a 350. They know I'm lying because it sounds like a big block. Ha ha. Always fun to mess with folks.
