What are the most practical ways to store hammers other than peg hooks or stuffing them in a drawer? Any clever ideas or racks?

good bar magnets work pretty good unless you have all rubber hammers

I know you said no peg hooks, but I use LARGE peg hooks (double straight bars about 4-5" long) and put 2-4 hammers on a hook, kind of stacked out from the wall. Deadblows are on one hook, mallets on another, and 2 claws + 3lb sledge on the third.

i think i might go with 2- 3/4 floor flange with 3/4 ******* coming out the length of whatever many hammers i can put up.

I keep one 16 oz were I can get it quickly, per board. But all the rest are now in a 5 gal bucket under the work bench. If I'm workin a project that I think I might need a selection, I just grab the bucket full of hammers.

A drawer on the tool bench works for me...

Put 'em in an all purpose container and set 'em on a shelf...

Forget what this was originally designed for (not a chipping hammer)....

Probably a combination Mason's Straight and Cross Pein Hammer. Used for breaking up or shaping stone and masonry.

There's a hole in one of the blocks on my wall where some ***** tryed to install an electrical box a long time ago. Hammer fits in the hole perfect. (it's almost as if they used a hammer to *make* the hole! )
