Does yours wobble? Mine wobbles where the down rod goes into the ceiling mount and rocks back and forth slightly and you hear it make a click click click noise and it's pretty annoying. I even bought another fan to see if it would do it and it does. The mount and perfectly level so I don't know what's going on. I can live with it but it is annoying for sure. Fan does work great though.

Get a fan blade balancing kit at big box and follow directions. Generally works great.

I have balanced them with a few clothes pins, just start on one blade half way, if it gets worse check the next blade, takes a while but when you find the right spot ( it may take more than one on more than one blade) and it is running smooth, tape a nickle to the center back of the blade for each clothes pin you use.

Are you referring to the 3 blade, 60 inch, white fan, HD number 526-012 discussed in THIS THREAD?

Sorry, cannot help you, I threw the down rods that came with it in the scrap bin and made new ones, 4 ft long, from galvanized ¾ water pipe drilled for the cross pin and drilled and threaded for the ground pigtail and drilled at the bottom for the fan mount bolt and the ground wire.. Mine run smooth and quiet.

Are you referring to the downrod being loose or wobbling in the white ball it mounts into? Do you have the ball correctly seated in the ceiling bracket with the slot in the ball indexed onto the tang in the bracket (for anti rotation?)

Along with the cross pin, there is a screw securing the ball to the downrod, is it installed and tight?

Try numbering the blades and then swapping two of them, if needed, another two. That may help resolve the balance problem. Make sure the blades are properly tightened to the hub.

If they're the one's Charles is talking about, I have 4 in my shop and garage. All work great, a little wobble in two of them, but zero noise....other than the air they move when on high setting! They move some serious air...

And I did the same as he did with the down rods...

You have to balance them, per the instructions. Mine took a good bit of time to do and I had to put weights on multiple blades.

It was really bad to begin with. I guessed that they don't weight match the blades on these things like they do the inside/wood blade fans.

I have two, one is perfect right out of the box, the other was a wobbling nightmare. I spent about an hour going up and down a ladder trying to balance it and I got it close, but not like the first one. Mine are the black ones, but same fans. I thought about trying to buy another one and see if it was any better, but I think I just need to spend a bit more time balancing it.

I used the stock rods, but my ceilings are only 12'6"
