Does anyone know anything about hand carry tool boxes, likely for carpenters, that included some kind of punch-out to accommodate a 16x24 framing square?
I’ve seen quite a few Carpenter’s boxes with factory markings for cutouts. My Kennedy was cut out when I got it and I pop riveted in a patch to fill the hole.

I have a Veto bag ( https://vetopropac.com/xxl-f/ ) that I picked up barely used for a great price. It has a cut-out for a framing square and holds all my hand tools. I also get a lot of "Now this guy looks like he knows what he's doing".
I found a late 40's/early 50's Craftsman carpenter's box with a Heritage badge a few years ago, Leg. Some pics attached. Many more pics and info on post #9374 of the Toolboxes thread, linked here. And if you scroll down one post to #9375, I posted the 1952 Craftsman catalog excerpt.
I spotted this XL version of the wartime GMTK a few years ago at my flea, and it was clearly intended for carpenters. You can see the slot for the square.
Gosh thank all of you. Very much.
I guess I never paid attention to such animals.
Now I am on the hunt.
Still awaiting clarification from the brother in law re: my other post about WWII G.I. bill tool set.
Thanks again.
