I really should be in the market for one of these.
I have seen prices from fifty bucks to $400.00 and more.

I mean the ones like this AP

as shown in your pic, a band file. i have a milwaukee #6101 , it doesn't like to keep the belt on.
i also have an old hf bandfile attachment for a grinder, havent used it in years. as far as a belt sander, the best i found is a porter cable 3x21 #352vs

The dynabrade ones are top notch. But I find the tiny little belts wear too fast and get clogged easily. They are handy but they are delicate and can't be thrown around.

I have a Chicago pneumatic 858 hand held belt sander, and Ive had it for many years. I have only needed to replace the bearings at the tip.. as they wear out. I found replacement bearings on ebay by looking up the size.. not part number, and they were WAY cheaper. They use 3/8x13" belts.. which is a pretty common size for these small hand held air belt sanders. I use it on almost a daily basis at work.. So I recommend that one.

I have been thinking of buying a bigger dynabrade one.. to do the chore I usually do faster, however I know it wont do be able to do the small tight areas I need to as I can with the CP.

I have the cp too. Been a great tool for the price. Wanted a dynabrade but didn't want to spend that much.

I used to use a pneumatic DynaBrade at work years ago and it was a very nice too. Since it's something I don't use much, I have a Black & Decker corded version that I got on clearance at Wal Mart years ago and it is OK, but certainly not the quality of the DynaBrade.

I bought the Chinese **** from HF and returned multiple times bc would only last minutes literally. Broke down and bought the real deal Dyanabrade. Fantastic tool and huge labor saver when finishing welds. Awesome tool IMO.
