I'm looking for a source for 5/16" drive bits for a Hand Impact Driver. This is the kind of impact driver used with a hammer. Commonly used for removing screws from motorcycle engine cases. I need some bits. About the only thing I regularly use the tool for is removing the screws that hold rotors onto the hub of some cars.

Can't seem to find a source and I'm not going to buy another one just to get some more bits to lose!

Point me in the right direction please

If you impact drive has a 3/8" or 1/2" drive I would suggest getting a bit socket for the most common sizes you break. Go with a good brand with a lifetime warranty and you wont be spending 3-5 bucks a pop anymore. I use bit sockets exclusively with my impact driver as Snap-On sells them that way. Link

Thanks everyone for your help. I went to Sears to get one bit to get me through the current job but I'm putting together an order for a bunch of different Apex bits (just a few 5/16" drive but a bunch of 1/4" bits) because the price seems right (about $1.50 a bit) and I can buy just the bits I use/abuse/lose the most.

Sounds good; once you get them, let us know about the quality they provide and some pics! I'm sure everyone here would appreciate some feedback on them; all the Apex stuff I have seen and used; have been excellent and superior to most if not all of the consumer grade stuff you can get at local stores.
