Hand Riveter Made in USA

I'm looking for a hand riveter that is made in USA. I've had no luck so far. This is for general stuff that I run in from time to time such as door speakers in a Matrix to regulators on a Pontiac. I assume these are all blind, pop rivets. I've read the couple threads yesterday that I could find on here.

I ran into the same issue. I bought a Stanley that was advertised as still being made in the USA, but it too was imported.

Thought Marson was still one of the last holdouts. Darn.

Regardless of where it's made - and I will go out of my way to buy US made tools - the Marson is still one of the best tools of its kind I've used. Sometimes you've got to decide whether you want to fish or cut bait.

I stopped by Sears tonight & the $10.99 riveter was made in China.

Huck HK150A - made in USA

Alcoa said they don't make any of their tools in the USA. I've emailed them to ask which country they import the Huck from especially the HK150A.

The HK150A that I have was made in the USA. I got it several years ago though. I still see them advertised as made in the USA.

Napa has USA riviter. It is on sale now for 54.00 I think. I just threw out the add. It is their balklamp brand and looks the same as the old and maybe current SO.

Regardless of where it's made - and I will go out of my way to buy US made tools - the Marson is still one of the best tools of its kind I've used. Sometimes you've got to decide whether you want to fish or cut bait.

I've been using mine for well over thirty years. I had the Vulcan/Williams tool truck guy order me a replacement internal "gripper" when I originally bought it from him, as a spare. I had to swap it out a few years ago when it started slipping on steel shanks. It's a damn fine product. I can't begin to count the untold thousands of steel, copper, aluminum, and stainless rivets that went through it over the years.

I'm really very sorry to hear that they quit making them here.

These were very popular and were common as dirt at one time. I think that all of the different tool trucks carried them. You might want to think about trying to pick up a clean used one off of eBay. I've seen a number of those green cased kits with the little boxes of rivets offered up over the years.

If they didn't switch to overseas too long ago, you might get lucky and find a NOS one at one of your local industrial supply houses.

Just look on ebay for an old Marson. That is what I did and I got a nice one in the case for about $20 shipped and it was made in Chelsea, Mass. I got another one just like it last week in a lot of tools I bought as well. I don't think you can beat a Marson for the money invested.

Marson is now out of stoughton Mass. I believe only when Alcoa took over that they went overseas. Shame, although I just bought a nut-sert kit and it looks and feels like their old USA versions ????????

Yep, made in USA according to Beth with customer service. She must have meant that they don't make in Marson riveters here. Great.

The one I saw at napaonline.com is the Marson HP-2 which is made in Taiwan. It does say USA on it, but that is merely a "locating address" of Marson. I refer to it as at best, tacky.

We bought a Stanley -- maybe about 6 or 7 years ago that was Made in USA. Not a great quality tool, but fine for normal duty use.

Yep, confirmed via email that the 2-in-1 is made in USA.

Also Hanson Rivet & Supply Co sells a power riveter that is made in USA. Model PRG-510A for $275 per email with Dean.
